We are moving to a house that is about 3 times the size of the one we own. We want more space 🙂

O.k., confused here as to what you were trying to say.  Re:  moving, normally people declutter/get rid of at least some stuff before moving.  Did you do any of that?  Or were your comments about feeling not having enough room in your then current house?

Hi K

I'm just complaining, is all ☺️. It's fine, really.

The cost of solicitors and estate agents seems never ending, we are surrounded by countless boxes as we pack away our belongings, and the shift in gear from nothing happening to everything happening very quickly whilst still juggling the demand of work, is tiring.

It will be fine 🙂. It will just be nice not to be on the other side of it.

Hope all goes well. We're glad to have moved to our current house but wouldn't want to go through the process again.

Cheers, bud. Hopefully we won't be doing this again in the foreseeable future.

Yes, moving is stressful.  Hopefully, in spite of moving to a bigger house, you're taking a little time to think "Do I really need this or should it be given away/donated/recycled/sold/tossed?"   ;)

The sun just poked its head out (for a few minutes at least); torn here--back to yard work or house cleaning?   :(  Supposed to get more rain this weekend...hmmm?

Oh yes. Packing, moving, cleaning, unpacking. Getting services started up! What a beast. And then if you move a great distance, you'll be sleeping on an air mattress and using folding chairs while you wait days or weeks for delivery.

All the joys of relocation!

As an aside, I have a friend who has a number of nice and collectible books (a number from her deceased mother) and some also collectible furniture; she also had (in some of the antique/collectible furniture) old books about movies on VCR, so "Just saying".  ;)  :)

So easy to gather lots of things, isn't it?

Thankfully, beyond our books which represent a sizeable library, we are minimalists in the main. Having said that, I'll be glad to unpack at the other end!

Well, that's good.  I was just trying to share an example of what the best intentioned people can do.  And I'm working on getting rid of more stuff here.
