Cloud storage is not cost effective for terabytes of data San Antonio.  I use it for storing work documents for access across all of my devices.

You just killed the hopes of every enterprise storage company, you know that?

I'm just waiting for the day when 1 TB flash drives are affordable. Right now, the only model is ~$1,400.  I don't even plug in my 1 TB hard drives because they are such a pain (despite being pretty small); they easily get disconnected and the wires are irritating. 1 TB will be enough for me for quite a few years, too.

Have you considered a hybrid drive Greg?  Or were you wanting it just for reliability and not speed?

SSHD? Never tried it before. Based on the pics I looked at, there is writing on the disc, which is less than ideal. Flash memory is the way to go for me.

The idea of having all of your documents/books/movies/music/movies on something that can fit in your pocket, plug into any computer and read within seconds, having at least USB 3.0 speed, and be flash memory is what I'm dreaming of. And as far as computers go, a holographic screen, maybe?  :P
