The main purpose of this thread is to familiarize members with little-known music that they will probably enjoy. For example, let's say you love the Rachmaninov PCs and wish old Sergei had written more. Well, I would recommend to you the Medtner, Bortkiewicz or Bowen PCs, all wonderful compositions. Members may list some composers and/or pieces that they love, and I (as well as other members, if they wish) shall direct them to lesser-known pieces that share the same style and aesthetic. :)

Not going to participate in this thread, but love the Roussel avatar, Kyle. Definitely one of my favorite composers.

Already did. ;) :)

That's a bit broad.  But I'll try one:

If you like Dvorak's middle symphonies, try the three Fibich symphonies.

Indeed! Raff's later symphonies and Foerster's first two or three symphonies also fit that bill quite nicely. :)

...Rachmaninov Piano Concertos, you'll probably like the Alnaes Piano Concerto.

...Haydn and that period, you'll probably like Michael Haydn (any of the symphony discs on CPO are a good place to start, as is the Requiem on Hyperion).
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

The Alnaes PC is an amazing work and easily the best of the PCs in the Hyperion series (I haven't been too impressed with too many of the works they have included in that series). Such a lush, tuneful work. It would bring the house down in concert and would make a welcome substitute for the Tchaikovsky, Grieg or
Rach PCs.

If you like the Tchaikovsky, Grieg or Rach PCs, try the Scharwenka 4th.

You mean, if I like Father of the Symphony, I will like Uncle of the Symphony?

Something like that! :) Most people seem to forget about Michael, if they have even heard of him, so I thought it worth a mention.

If you like Vaughan Williams you might like Finzi, Moeran, Bantock, Lilburn, Braga Santos, Hovhaness, Archibald Potter, Hadley and Stanley Bate.

Yes, true. Her fine Symphony No. 2 is in the spirit of Vaughan Williams's Symphony No 6.

Oh yes, definitely. 'These Things Shall Be' is in the spirit of 'Dona Nobis Pacem'.
