Eighteen of my electron micrographs of protists will be on display at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum in Vancouver, Canada from 27 September 2013 through 5 January 2014 in an exhibit titled "Invisible Portraits". Alongside these micrographs will be displayed some incredible metal and wood sculptures of protists by Erick James and Patrick Keeling respectively. This is the second museum exhibit of my images, the first being the large permanent installation that went on display at the Exploratorium in San Francisco in April 2013.

Here is the museum poster for this exhibit, followed by photographs of the opening night. Please see my website www.kevinjcarpenter.com and Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kevin-J-Carpenter/138964026304204 for more info/captions, photos, and updates.

Very impressive, XB. I love the strange but beautiful juxtaposition of the chilling high-tech "alien" portraits with the very warm antique gold frames.

"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

Wonderful, congratulations! Very interesting photographs. The gold frames are a funny contrast :D

The exhibit was featured on a Canadian news(ish) show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1LpYrtvy6A#t=312

I like some of this work. Are you represented in the US? What are your price points?
"I don't know what sforzando means, though it clearly means something."

Thanks for your interest. I am interested in gallery representation. However, I may be selling prints through the Beaty Museum store--we are trying to arrange this. Please contact me through my website to discuss further. http://www.kevinjcarpenter.com

Best,
Kevin
