These flowers are grown and used in some kind of tea, I think.  I drove a motorcycle up into the mountains to shoot them, and a fog started rolling in right when I got there.

Very atmospheric shot. The fog definitely enhances the landscape.

Is there a reason why some wear white, others yellow?

Actually, it's yellow and lighter yellow.  Whether it indicates rank, or just inconsistency between producers, I don't know.  I saw, shot, and moved on.  I've never heard anyone mention falung dafa since I've been in Taiwan (11 years).
One interesting thing.  This was "explored" at flickr, and began getting more attention than any picture I've ever taken, and then was suddenly removed from "explore" again, well before the end of the cycle.  The long arm of China?
It's all good...

This was a gathering I passed on the way to teach a class.

Skillful photography, but depressing.

Yeah, it's not very appealing, is it? ???

I actually had a free day today, and went out and shot.  First time in a loooong time I actually followed through and got some real shooting done.  Here are a couple.

Very nice, both of them. I'd clone out that bird/UFO in the industrial landscape, though.

Aligreto! Nice one.  Not a sight you see every day.

3 more from yesterday.

Thank you. Here in Dublin, the capital of Ireland that actually is a sight that you can see every day! We have a large public park virtually in the city and there is a herd of deer maintained there.

Great shots!
The first one has strong composition and I love the sweep into the frame in the last image.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it :)

BTW, two very exciting new lenses are just coming out.  Sigma has a 24mm F1.4 and Tamron has a 15-30mm F2.8.  Both are for full frame and have received some great reviews. They are also cheap--relative to similar lenses, anyway.

Very nice! I really like working with a wide angle lens.
