I'm not a composer. I was an indie rocker in the 90s. I used to make a lot of low-fi homemade stuff after that. I am not musically trained. I gave up making music for the last 7 or 8 years. Recently I started this new musical concept and set of compositions. It's all available here (there are 6 musical pieces on the video page):

Kill Rock? Rock died, and Country stole the drums! It's true! Country Music sounds like Nickleback with Yoakim singing... brrrr, horrible.

But,... Rock? There is no Rock anymore Mr. Townsend!

I have not been able to properly listen to these, due to set-up issues, but I listened to some of the Feldman vs. Alien and it had a creepy effect on me; I'm glad Kill Rock guidelines discourage alcohol consumption.  Stay with this and you might be the next Nurse With Wound style hometaper genius.

Is that "sound experiences" itinerary facetious?  It's wonderful that you'd be going from "Trotsky's" in Bangalore to the "Bagel & Brew" in Ho Chi Minh City.  Then to a petting zoo in Lincoln.  Stranger than fiction!
Live clips on the website, plz.

Hey thanks for taking a look. Yes it's all kind of satire. Well, don't tell anyone! Yes, I made up the venue names. Nurse With Wound...now I know it from somewhere...have to look it up now! I hope you can check out the other tracks some time. I think it's good fun. I've been working pretty hard on this stuff over the last month.

I do not understand the context, but the music is so lovely. Some are like minimalism, ambient, dreamlike, hypnotic, ... Very nice. Did you compose all, or are they the works of several members?

Thanks! It's just me.

Good stuff! Somewhere between Disco Inferno, The Residents and the planet Jupiter - exactly my cup of avantgarde. #4, #8 and Enter their World are my favourites. You should collect your music and put out a bandcamp release.

Wow! The Residents! Thanks. You're the second person to suggest bandcamp. I will find a day to do it then. I'm so glad to have a few people listen!

I love it.
A Bandcamp release will be great, but I like the videos too.
Are there sequels to The Cuckold and "Repetition Compulsion"?

Repetition Compulsion was so dark - nobody liked it! Well, maybe we did. I'm so appreciative that you watched these.
I never know what people will like more. Actually, if I post a picture of food on Facebook it instantly gets many more likes than any of my music! I haven't made sequels to those. I get kind of on a role with things and lately I'm on this kind of sci-fi ambient kick. Maybe it's because I wanted Kill Rock to be an anti-rock band and ambient music is so non-rock. Some of this started because I was watching an old Kraftwerk video from 1970 and the audience looks totally dumbfounded and confused. I keep thinking, what would it take to confound an audience today? Ambient music is one thing. But it's not new at all. I'll be thinking of something else...I keep trying...

Repetition Compulsion is weird and also comical, that's why I liked it. I watched it before The Cuckold, and probably that was good for me to appreciate it more. I love music and art that confuse or puzzle me, and Kill Rock did it to me.
How about minimal ambient using an original tuning in just intonation? I think just intonation could produce something that is never heard before.

Interestingly enough, the drones I'm using for the ambient stuff are coming from these microtonal apps (two different ones) I downloaded onto my ipad. And the bells are a real kid's glockenspiel I mic'd. This is really the only music I've made the isn't based solely in software sounds and even the "J-intonation" (or whatever it really is - sorry I don't exactly know) apps had to be mic'd. That's kind of fun for me. Yeah, the real reason I stared to make ambient music this time around is because of those apps.

Mn Dave?
Lived in the minnie apple for ten years. I miss it. I had a rock band there for a long while. Made the college charts! Gosh it was cold, as the kids say. But still, my kind of town.

Milk.

Probably after my bar hopping days. :) I mostly saw The Suburbs.

For some reason I only know the name. But I liked the Suicide Commandos.

Oh, yeah. Never seen them live. Saw the Replacements live once in the Uptown bar. Also talked to Paul once (super nice guy) and Bob a few times (super weird guy).

Bobby was very gracious to me and my band. He offered to jam with us once but that never happened. The drugs got him.
