And I very much wish there were more Ginette Neveu. I really want to hear her tackle all those sonatas I love so much ... Brahms 1-3, the Kreutzer and Op. 96 (Gould there, too! with Menuhin) - but alas ...

Also forgot Goldberg/Kraus - though they made somewhat more of an impression with Mozart (Goldberg/Lupu I love, too ... Szigeti/Horszowski, Grumiaux/Haskil, Kagan/Richter ... and more so than with Beethoven I'm enjoying some HIP there, Schröder/Orkis, Steck/Spaans, Schau/Leininger ... and that one grand disc by Müllejans/Bezuidenhout). Goldberg though in general is still pretty new to me, I only got hip to him a while after my initian violin fascination/spree (which included Heifetz, Rabin, Stern, Milstein mostly, Grumiaux and Szeryng following soon after). As I keep saying: it all will need much more time to really sink in, even though this is stuff that does feel familiar by now.

Just in case this comes across in a wrong/braggin way, which is not at all my intention: I do skip lunch and other stuff in order to save up ... it's just that I've got no real obligations and what I can will be spent on music and books
