Man...I was with you all the way until....Aretha Franklin? oh no, no, no...tell me it isn't so.

She doesn't do much for me either. But I do like Ella and Sarah.

For years, I felt obligated to like her, or else I had to turn in my Good Taste Card. But I just don't. The first, and only, album I liked by her was Who's Zoomin' Who?. I used to switch stations when "Respect" or "Chain of Fools" came on the radio during the '60s.

NJ Joe

There are a few songs by all of these artists that I like, but overall I'd say not so much.

Rush
Prince
Metallica
Bon Jovi
Billy Joel
Springsteen
The Eagles
Michael Jackson
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Rod Stewart

Queen
Any 80s glam rock band
John Melloncamp
Aerosmith
David Bowie
Talking Heads
B52s
XTC
John Coltrane
Billy Joel
Michael Jackson
Bob Dylan (wrote some great songs but can't stand his voice)
Styx
Roxy Music
Rolling Stones
Elvis Presley
Almost any country artist
Elton John
Deep Purple
Black Sabbath

Etc, etc. etc...

The selections in black, which count as my 10, are the ones that I simply cannot stand and don't understand how anyone could like them.

Mn Dave - your avatar, is that really a tardis disguised as your shed?  If so, can I come along on your next time travel?

I agree with most of this, though I find I enjoy the songs I've heard from Prince and Metallica much more than most in their respective genres.

Prince? Who doesn't like Prince. He's amazing.  0:)

I don't dislike him, but I've never felt inspired to buy anything by Prince.

Queen

And I thought you and I had absolutely nothing in common...but there it is!  ;D

I'm going to change my list to reflect that.

Queen is like the '70s Beatles. Sort of.

Yeah, like late Beatles, the period I'm not particularly fond of except for bits and pieces.
