APOLOGIES vs AMENDS

Apologies are either 'reasons' or 'excuses'. Amends are actual changes one makes so that what bad that happened won't happen again! There.

"Say you're sorry or I'll MAKE you sorry!!"

Huh? Anyone ever had that nugget?

Who here has ever wanted the ABILITY to "make" someone sorry?

Oh, this Thread is creeping me out. I'll come back and it'll be a BDSM Thread!!

"I'm sorry, Mistress!!" rooowwwrrrr :P naughty teacher glasess oh yeeeah!!

"This is going to hurt me more than it hurts you."

Apo- logos = "around the word"------ "what I meeeant to say was..."

I accept all your apologies, btw. It's big of you all. I'm glad my conscience is clear.

This is one sorry-assed thread. It should apologize to me.

I apologize, that was a bit rude of me.

You have nothing to apologize for Greg.

Well, Ives.

I'm sorry that I love Messiaen's Turangalila-Symphonie. I don't know why I feel so ashamed that it has been one of my favorite pieces recently, but I do.

I'm sorry that Ken doesn't like Ives. Forgive him.
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

Whose idea were these sorry colors? (Sorry, couldn't bother with the right sorry emoticon.)

This will be difficult....

...ok, I forgive him. But this is the apology thread, not the forgiveness thread. So, I'm sorry that I forgave Ken.

I'm sorry there is even such a thing as "forgiveness regret" . . . .

I regret ever reading of such a thing.

I'm sorry I started this thread.

Perhaps my greatest regret is that we've no hope of sorting out who among us is the sorriest of the lot.

But, at the end of the day, I can make no excuse for being a sorry, no good hairball. It's just the way Mother Nature has sorted things out for me. :D

I haven't seen Droopy in years, but I remember him, and his voice, very well indeed. A favourite cartoon when I was growing up.
I'm sorry for missing Droopy all these years.
