I win!!

Just thought I'd get the room ready, order up some TVs, get the bar cranked up, and the entertainment booked (oh!- you will want to be here Tuesday!). Reserve your seat early!! ;)

I predict the Democrats will win every seat... apparently there have been some "glitches"! ???

Some interesting stats were published. For recent elections, if they are close but not very close they split about 50 50. But if they are very close they go democrat 3:1. Fairly compelling evidence of fraud I think. There were a number of proven cases last time too.

In Michigan each is as bad as the other. The gop governor signed the anti-Tesla law,  and gop senators held up the new bridge, clearly in the pocket of Matty Moroun.  The democrats who run Detroit and support bail outs are transparently corrupt. It's like Boulez or Stockhausen here.

I cannot even stomach any interest in the Mass. gubernatorial race.  None of the above for me . . . .

Hey, Oregon could join the legal pot clique.  As it is now, I have drive about a half hour to get legal weed in the 'Couve.  I want it at the nearest strip mall, thank you.

That reminds me, I need to fill out my mail-in ballot.  As usual, I will vote no on all statewide ballot measures.  Someone has to do it.  (And what do legislators get paid to do?)

They call it a toss-up.  I've never been impressed by Coakley (a fellow Bay-Stater succintly puts it; "I cannot forgive her for giving the [2009 Senatorial] election to Scott Brown").  I say, meh.

That was Obama who did that.

I see your point;  but Mass. is so robustly a Democratic electorate, the consensus is that Brown's campaign wouldn't have won its wings if Coakley had not been so utterly complacent.

In a way, much the same thing has happened here.  She enjoyed a large lead for much of the earlier part of the campaign, mostly name recognition.  And, as with the Brown contest, it was her election to lose . . . and it looks like she is close to managing it.

Now, one hopes that a public servant could serve in office more competently than he or she runs a campaign . . . but, I have my doubts.

" the consensus is " ... almost certainly wrong, as these things are. The Brown vote was an anti-Obamacare vote.
Another bit of concensus that is exactly wrong is that Palin hurt the GOP in 2008. 180 degrees wrong. McCain hurt the GOP with his incredibly woeful performance and incoherence on the economy, Bush hurt with the incompetence in Iraq, and Obama crushed them with his vapid oratory and skin color. Palin held the base and kept a big defeat from being a total rout.

20 cases here of early "glitches", all going left. Does anyone even research Diebold and who's in charge? Most people are barely idiots, right? Believe what your phone tells you.

Is it because Goldman Sachs was the biggest contributor to both Obama and Romney? So, my question is, on what point do all these supposed competitors AGREE? What issue do they both dodge?

Hmmm. Look, if there is one race I care about it is Walker winning. I really want Walker to win. But doesn't this look like a classic "late hit" from some PAC? "Sources".  Smells like BS to me.

Sabato, Silver, and Marquette are pretty bullish for republicans. Sabato has it 3:1 the gop takes the senate, and his likely number is 52 seats.  Silver is comparable last I checked.

My prediction is 51, and some nasty vote fraud issues in at least two states.

In Wisconsin I think Walker wins. Marquette has him up 7, but it will be much closer.

Not a "wave" election.

I think all the politicians should be handcuffed and dropped off in the middle of nowhere (preferably somewhere like Nunavut) and left to fend for themselves. Then the next week do the same thing to all the bank CEOs and executives.

For the last few months, I'd read many stories about how vulnerable Mitch McConnell was, and how he was facing a tough campaign, but tonight he won 56% to 41%.  Did voters really swing that much in the last few weeks, or did various members of the press write op-ed pieces rather than the factual stories?

Anyway, I like Mitch, and I'm glad he won.  Hopefully he gets to be Majority Leader.

Surprise! a Florida recount!

It looks like Crist is 2% down. That is basically impossible to reverse in a recount, even if the SFSC lends a helping hand. But I guess old habits die hard.

Looks like the Republicans did it.  Hopefully, the new Congress and the President can work together to formulate serious, effective policies and legislation.

Of course, I'll be fine with the Republicans adopting a Crush, Kill, Destroy approach to every Obama Administration proposal and action.  There is a lot of entertainment to be had in the next couple years.
