Archival footage of musicians, composers and others active in the 1930s and 40s from Rodzinski's private collection. These include Richard Strauss and Ravel among many others. I found the images mesmerizing.

What a treat!  Thanks.  Some cool threads and a pack of smokes were required back then.  :)

Of course!  I came across the clip last night and for some reason thought it fascinating to watch these images from a bygone era.  There is no sound in the vide but for some reason one can imagine the aural component. There is a section on Richard Strauss have lunch (?) with perfomers, one section with Horowitz as a young man coming down the street and one with Ravel having a discussion. There is definitely an aura of different manners and interactions compared to what I expected. Perhaps this due to that this is a private source so it possible that the people being filmed were more relaxed. Regardless, it was definitely a treat for me. It was interesting to peer at the famous Richard Strauss having lunch.  What do you think about the artists and personalities that shine through in this clip?  I need to watch it again to take in more of the images.
