I can't fathom why people insist naming works not listed as options. That's like voting Mickey Mouse for president. How cool would that be, if it happened, though..

I don't think Mickey in the White House would be cool at all, at all . . . .

Brian (Pollmaster), are the results meeting expectations?
They were pretty shocking when Petrushka got off to a 6-2 lead. Now, maybe not so much - except that we have 2 Stravinsky haters and 1 poor, presumably awesome person who's feeling super lonely about choosing Firebird.

Love all three, but if pressed, Le sacre.

Mickey would be a big improvement over our last two presidents.

I need no pressing, ever since it was used as soundtrack for a virgin sacrifice in my youth.

It wasn't. Not the last couple times anyway.

Wait a minute! Was it really a coincidence that Brian started this poll at the time of the current election....   ?????       :o :o :o

Yes, I think so. Brian--the coincidence enabler.

...but so psyched about having the concert hall all to myself!

Some of us just feel that others besides The Big Three should get some attention. :)

Mickey Mouse?  I think Bugs Bunny would be more effective.  "Mnyeh--What's up, Mitch?" (Nothing against the current administration, mind you, although some disappointment in the midterm results. >:( )

The Rite by far. The Firebird is not even in my top ten.

Wonderful as L'oiseau de feu is, it is not in my Stravinsky Top 10, either.

Some composers have too many masterpieces for a top 10.  Firebird wouldn't be close to my top 10.
