For completeness, we really should take a look at Volume 1 as well.

We should perhaps also note that piano sonata no.7 is over 3 hours long. Tell me, does that cover inspire you to listen to a 2-movement piece that is over 3 hours long?
I am now working on a discography of the works of Vagn Holmboe. Please visit and also contribute!

Huh, sheet music? Who's your daddy?
I rather like it, but as a cover for the Darmstadt retrospective collection. Boulez's stated goal was the destruction of all art that was creating before his coming. Truth in advertising.

Hahaha . True.

Why are there music stands if it is a piano sonata?

...as if that is the strangest thing I can find here.
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

To be fair (ish), Innova is sort of like a "vanity press"—they don't make or produce recordings, merely publish them in order to get them out there.

Of course that means these covers were probably designed by the composer himself.

Consider that for a while.

There is nothing wrong with this cover.

Take away the text on the cover, kinda creepy?

Even when in miniature form The Paavo makes a strong presence. And thank goodness the couch kept the step stool out of site, how embarrassing.

Would be funnier if you replaced Paavo with the guy in the first pic.

Like this?
