too lazy to post in the past few days ... played plenty of new arrivals, first this mighty good 1979 date by Frank Foster, with great Mickey Tucker on piano and some fine guitar solos by Ted Dunbar:

I saw Ted Dunbar play live many times back in the day.  A fine guitarist indeed.

and then also finally sat down to really listen to this amazing set of two Braxton concerts from São Paulo - really fantastic!

Haven't seen this before.

I'm currently awaiting receipt of a cd of this which I once had on vinyl and haven't heard in years:

"Music can inspire love, religious ecstasy, cathartic release, social bonding, and a glimpse of another dimension. A sense that there is another time, another space and another, better universe."

Oooh, that looks tasty! Anthony Davis is mostly familiar to me from various Wadada Leo Smith recordings, guess I'll look for this one, too!

First spin ... and as usual with the few Thomas Borgmann recordings I have, I'm mightily impressed by his amazing tenor sound. Seems like a pretty good set that the three played!

Big fan of the Lithuanian No Business label anyway. Will continue with this here next, by Bobby Bradford and Hafez Modirzadeh:

Fick mich mehr, du hast dein ehr.
Kannstu nit, ich wills dich lern.

more vinyl ... first one by Claude Williamson, second one by Martial Solal - both excellent

Next LP spinning ... this has just been reissued by Fresh Sound as part of a larger package of music by/with Jerry Coker ... not for those looking for "best" and "essential", but pretty nice, fersure.

Now the final LP for today (switching back to CD again later on, not stopping to play music) - OM, "Rautionaha" (JAPO, 1976):

Es wollt ein meydlein grasen gan:
Fick mich, lieber Peter!
Und do die roten röslein stan:
Fick mich, lieber Peter!
Fick mich mehr, du hast dein ehr.
Kannstu nit, ich wills dich lern.
