Some years ago, I remember listening to NPR on a drive and the station playing some radio documentary about prison life (googling revealed it was an episode of "This American Life" titled 'Lockup.') Anyway, they used a snippet from an obscure comedian's routine wherein the comedian (Rick Reynolds) relates a tale about doing a gig at a prison with several other comedians. It's one of the funniest things I've listened to (and it helps that this guy is an eloquent storyteller.) This is the part:
