45 is certainly not good for all records but this particular one benefits from it.
As for records being cut close to the label my remedy is the SAS/microridge/MicroLine diamond shape.

Highlighted is correct. Solo piano a test for cartridge tracking ability.
You must have a very good opinion of yourself to write a symphony - John Ireland.

I opened the door people rushed through and I was left holding the knob - Bo Diddley.

Every detail forensically covered with exception of price. Sadly I don't think I will be receiving a copy for Christmas. Not at 650 euros!

Coup d'Archet released an audiophile LP featuring Auclair twenty years ago. I purchased a copy at the time

UMG have announced a series of direct to laquer analog remasters of the Decca and Philips catalogues. The mastertape to laquer work is in the same good hands as the DG Original Source Series; Rainer Maillard and Sidney C. Meyer at EBS, but the pressing plant is Pallas, not Optimal.

I love music. Sadly, I'm an audiophile too.

2025 has been a LP purchase free zone - until yesterday. My days of kneeling on a dusty charity shop floor (classical records are always on the floor) sorting through endless dross are over. However, age may have caught up with my knees but eyes are eagle enough to spot a bargain without, in this case, even looking.

Read some favourable comments on GMG relating to Ashkenazy's set, so not to pass up on. I listened to the first LP (of four), Symphony No.1 and The Isle of the Dead. Early digital raises some red flags, I needn't have worried as sonics are excellent with noticeable spacious sound, a wide and deep stereo image. Bass is strong, coda of the Symphony being mind-blowing exciting. There is some digital congestion in high mass strings but not enough to intrude on a great buy.
