I voted for The Duellists. I know Alien and Blade Runner will get a ton of votes, and deservedly so. They would be my alternates.

If Barry Lyndon appealed to you, you might like it, or even love it. If not.....

Yea .. I was just reading a little up on it now and that flimsy parallel was drawn. I do enjoy Barry Lyndon .. but then, I love everything Kubrick did. He was a master of the art. Then again, much of Ridley's work is masterful and really compels me too.

Blade Runner, possibly the second greatest film ever made--behind 2001 A Space Odyssey of course!

I vote for Blade Runner.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Blade Runner, but Alien would have worked as well.
There will never be another era like the Golden Age of Hollywood.  We didn't know how to blow up buildings then so we had no choice but to tell great stories with great characters.-Ben Mankiewicz

There are many  on there that I really enjoyed, quite a number actually .. but at the end of the day I would have to go with the remarkable Alien, it's the most imaginative and memorable, that blending of science fiction & horror really hits the spot .. love the H. R. Giger set & creature designs, this creature/monster is one of the best ever. Also one of the best heroines (Ripley) ever in film. It also spawned Cameron's Aliens and Ridley's Prometheus which I really loved, so it keeps giving .. and looking forward to Ridley's next installment, Covenant.

Blade Runner for me. Best movie on that list.

I have seen only three Ridley Scott movies: Alien, Blade Runner and Gladiator and enjoyed all three. My vote is Alien, though Blade Runner comes close, however predictable that may sound.
"Javert, though frightful, had nothing ignoble about him. Probity, sincerity, candor, conviction, the sense of duty, are things which may become hideous when wrongly directed; but which, even when hideous, remain grand."

Someone has voted for Hannibal .. very controversial. I don't remember much about that one, I'll have to see it again.

Duelists in first place.
Alien and Blade Runner tied for second.
Body Of Lies in third.

The rest I find either a bit better than okay, or a bit worse than okay.

I see Black Hawk Down got a vote. Excellent movie.
