John Zorn game pieces with narrations in Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese.  The Mandarin piece is a killer duet with Bill Frisell and Fred Firth - but the narrations just sound cool to listen to on their own for the sonic qualities of the language - it captures the musical aspects (especially for me, not knowing a single word)

I just saw this... nearly 5 years later...  :o

Why is Hu Die's photo and name on the cover? It is like having a CD that have both the name and a photo of Piaf on it but the CD is NOT of or by her. Strange...

Hu Die Christus natus est?

That sounds like the title of a Bach cantata.

Okay, I found the "Language Learners" thread.  ;D

Haha.

It should be possible to get notifications. That's a disadvantage of this forum.

It is possible to elect notifications. In this case, no, being notified of a thread without one's consent is not possible.

I don't see that as any particular disadvantage.

You aren't notificated when you get a reply from someone on what you write. You just get notificated by all messages in threads. I want being notificated by the particular messages which are adressed to me.

I just now told him he should have pm'ed me.  ;D
Really, though, it's strange... especially in 2007, I would have thought I'd have seen this.

Karl Henning

Yes, a PM (or as an aside in a dialogue you were active in) had made much more sense.

the piece is on youtube now
Sweet! I'll listen later today. Zorn is a composer that I've enjoyed before, but have completely forgotten to explore more of his stuff, probably because he is so prolific.
Thanks, btw.  :)
