New York times = Dems? Huh?

Trump is at war with any news outlet that won't propagandize for him. Even when Dems are getting hit hard they can't war with the media because they value facts for themselves. It's in the ideology that facts are not themselves partisan whatever partisan purpose they might serve. Before climate change became partisan it was established fact, becoming partisan didn't change that. If Repubs decide the facts aren't facts for beliefy reasons they need to be hit hard for the way they allow partisanship to distort reality. Reality doesn't disappear because people refuse to acknowledge it. Repub brain rot is self inflicted.

So, you didn't read the article then.

"It appears to have caught the attention of senators as well. Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, penned letters to several Trump campaign foreign policy advisers last week asking for all documents related to the N.R.A., Mr. Erickson, Mr. Torshin, Mr. Clay, Mr. Dearborn and others."

But yes, the failing New York Times is rotten with Dems and people with anti-Trump biases.  Even the failing New York Times recognizes this, hence the change to social media guidelines in October.

I read it. My point is that an individual member of the Judiciary Committee sensibly requesting relevant documents does not have any connection to your heading, (Dems trying new angle, linking NRA to Russia etc.) which implies a concerted party strategy. Nothing in the article or what you have posted justifies your line. Of course what you are implying is that it's all just party politics, rather than an effort by people of all parties to protect our democracy, such as it is, from treasonous thugs.

I'd very much like to see evidence for anyone having committed treason, relying on the actual legal meaning of that word in the US.

Beyond that, Ms Feinstein is no ordinary Dem, but the ranking minority member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  Now, it is possible, with 2018 almost here, that a perceived linkage between Russia and the NRA will not be exploited for partisan political purposes during an election year.  It is also quite possible, and here I will say probable, that such a perceived linkage will be used for partisan political purposes during an election year.

That's false. Repubs are conducting a war on scientific objectivity which requires that it be covered at the level of politics without ever being reduced to that level. Repubs apply your partisan truth standard to reality itself and will suffer the consequences by being outed as ideological cretins.

No, this quoted line is false.

Your pronouncements on the fate of Republicans are worthless.  Remember, before last year's election, you pontificated about the imminent demise of the Republican Party after Hillary's big win and a Democrat sweep.

So, in other words, there is no new Dem angle, there is only one you imagine might or might not come into being at some future point. Thank you, that was exactly my point.

Nothing to do with it — unless one is capable of abstract thought. Both scientific conclusions and political press coverage are normatively fact based, whereas administration positions on, for example, climate change and fake news stories generated by the Trump bullshit machine are not. This is what they "have to do with" each other.

"We have nothing to hide, there was no collusion.  Oh, and if there was, who cares?"

The White House's latest fallback: Who cares if [El Tupé] colluded with Russia?

By the way.

On December 1st (our National Day) I was, together with my wife, son and father-in-law, in the audience of the military parade. Incidentally, we were located exactly vis-a-vis the Russian Embassy. So, when my four-year-nine-month son asked his mother "Mom, where are our cruel ennemies?" ("your cruel ennemies" is a line from our national anthem --- which dates back from the 1848 Revolution time --- and which he must have overheard when sung by the chorus), I replied in a loud voice: "Just across the street, my son, just across the street!", thus provoking an uproarious laughter among our neighbors.  ;D ;D ;D

So count me in as one who very much cares if there was any such collusion.

Actually, on this you might be right - it's merely an expansion of Russia hysteria.  Nothing new here.
