Because not being racist/sexist is called being "politically correct" in some quarters, and respecting the dignity of people of all ethnic groups is a "rot which has infected many areas of modern western life." :(

Reverse discrimination is racism and is the cause of much resentment.

zamyrabyrd says something like, since everyone has some prejudice or other in their head at some point in their lives we can't really judge people who are racists. And that someone who generally hates Jews might have a good reason. He can defend himself, but it's close enough. If you can't say racism is wrong, what can you say? Of course the synprrr dude is like Alex Jones plus Jew-hating. Anyway, have we veered from Trump? Trump comes from a line of famous racists. Sins of the father or apple fell from the tree?

This is difficult but not impossible to plow through, but I will make an attempt.
Bias or prejudice might come from a real cause.
Maybe certain thugs make it impossible for a person to run an honest business without draconian security.
It may not be totally justified to paint a whole group negatively but based on personal experience, "caveat emptor" might be in order, resulting from the law of averages.
This is from a person who was mugged at knifepoint on the way back from music school in New York in the 70's.
Members of certain aggressive religions may not be at fault and could be great people.
But how many of them actually speak out against terrorism or do something about it?
The same could be said about whites in the South who were laid back about civil rights 60 years ago.
What I was saying before had to do with the premise of having equal love for all humanity.
In my opinion it is a lie and in fact impossible unless someone is a saint.
Bestowing on oneself the accolade of non-racist is placing on oneself sticky gold stars they used to have in grade school, essentially meaningless.
Calling others racist is also stupid unless they clearly demonstrate in words and actions that they actually hate or look down upon certain groups.
In fact the whole argument is a straw man.

Actually, he is a she.  :)

As per my just sent post, I happen to be acquainted with many Eastern Europeans who have a grudge against Russians. Judging by what many of them say, I believe their attitude is not unwarranted.

That's probably true, but two wrongs don't make a right.  Plus, falsely accusing people of racism and sexism is an insult to the victims of real racism and sexism. Plus, every time I read and hear that even if one is not personally guilty of any racist or sexist act, the very fact of being born white and male gives one an unfair privilege over non-whites and women I am strongly reminded of the communist position that, even if one is not personally guilt of any unlawful or morally reprehensible act against the proletariat, the very fact of being born in a bourgeois environment makes one guilty and despicable --- the so-called theory of the objective class enemy;  substitute race or gender for class and you have the exact tenet of some circles of contemporary radical left.

Exactly, Jordan Peterson would agree with you.

Of course. I share their sentiment. Based on a 300-year historical experience (like, 12 military occupations and two territorial annexations) I am strongly suspicious about Russian foreign policy and I would like to have as many protective layers against their meddling in Romania's affairs as possible, hence my staunch support for EU and NATO. Does this mean I hate Russians as a people? Not at all.

Will Donald Trump Be Delivering Davos Speech To An Empty Room? Attendees Plan To Walk Out Of Address

If this comes to pass, it really won't cause any domestic political harm.  Indeed, it will offer fresh evidence that Trump is an enemy of the global elite.  I still like Jamie Dimon's quip about Davos: it's where billionaires tell millionaires what the middle class thinks.  I guess this bold proposed action will resonate with the millionaire class.

The problem is with the silent majority. While all the aggression was going on, what were regular people saying or doing? I still have a hard time with the Russian army trashing the Chopin house in Poland. What leaders do trickle down to the common folk as it did with Germany and Japan in the 1930's, or maybe more precisely these leaders are the vox populi.

In fact, there is a living example going on now, about 850,000 Rohinga uprooted form their homes and subject to horrible deprivation, rape and killing. What does the average Burmese think about it? Most of them seem to be on board as the propaganda paints these unfortunates as parasites or even vermin. What does that witch with the Nobel Prize have to say about it? Why aren't rich Moslem countries helping their brothers and sisters?

People in groups can be very nasty, even murderous.

Oh, some here will turn the other way, yes, they will:

The degree to which Republicans would tolerate a racist president or see his racism as relatively unimportant will be seen by many Americans as enabling racism.

Can we see some evidence of his horrible, overweening racism?

Ah, I forgot snyprrr, but I think this is a special case. His political posts are so crazy (and clearly different in tone and style from his musical ones) that sometimes I think he just likes being provocative for the sake of it. It's hard to believe that any moderately rational person can seriously write what he writes, both tone and content wise.
