Of course, to any sober observer, none of those four adjectives (unstable, inept, inexperienced, unethical) is a surprise.

But, it is part of the recovery, to have officials state the obvious.

Ex CIA chief Brennan

Trump is unstable, inept, inexperienced and also unethical

Epic:

"When I hear what Vladimir Putin was saying just yesterday about the nuclear capabilities he has, the president of the United States is tweeting about Alec Baldwin this morning, I mean, where is your sense of priorities?" Brennan asked.

His priorities lie with his narcissistic self image.....  8)

Earlier I compared Trump to Silvio Berlusconi...

I hope he doesn't develop into a Benito Mussolini, or worse: Nero.

Nero. Perfect, actually.

At least Nero (supposedly) had musical talent.  Trump has yet to display any notable skills.

Not according to Trump, he's the greatest at everything, remember? :-\

Trump on China's Xi consolidating power: 'Maybe we'll give that a shot some day'

"President Donald Trump bemoaned a decision not to investigate Hillary Clinton after the 2016 presidential election, decrying a "rigged system" that still doesn't have the "right people" in place to fix it, during a freewheeling speech to Republican donors in Florida on Saturday.

In the closed-door remarks, a recording of which was obtained by CNN, Trump also praised China's President Xi Jinping for recently consolidating power and extending his potential tenure, musing he wouldn't mind making such a maneuver himself.

"He's now president for life. President for life. And he's great," Trump said. "And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll give that a shot some day."

With El Tupé, there's no such thing as bottoming out!

As one official put it: "We haven't bottomed out."
Hmm...what's bottom gonna look like? Pass me the popcorn.  I know, I probably should be crying.

I wonder if Trump has contemplated the broadly held view that the assassination of dictators like Xi and Putin by their citizenry is ethically justified, or perhaps even an ethical imperative? I hold this view. Anyone else?

I also believe floating trial balloons like Trump just did violates the oath of office and justifies impeachment.

I don't think it does.  But I think it was Trump doing his usual stream of  usconsciousness chatter, and not an actual idea.   Nor is he anywhere near the level of evil which would justify an assasination.

Also at 71 in mediocre health, perhaps President for Life does not necessarily mean serving a term beyond the constitutional limits.

I specifically suggested impeachment, and only impeachment, for Trump. Assassination by their own citizens, I asserted, is justified for despots like Xi and Putin.

I think you are wrong about Trump, since his chatter always goes to the same place. Anyone who thinks Trump wouldn't abolish the free press, jail journalists and political opponents, and make himself dictator for life tomorrow, if he could get away with it, is a poor judge of character. He is more than sufficiently evil. Fortunately, he is also a coward. His decades long criminal career has consisted primarily of craven financial crimes he could pay his way out of. His evil is that of an intestinal parasite, not a predator.

Sorry for being unclear.  When I said "I don't think it does" I was referring to impeachment.
