Rudy Giuliani Touts Call to Freeze Assets of 'Anti-Christ' George Soros

"Donald Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani retweeted a call to freeze the assets of billionaire investor George Soros on Saturday.

Giuliani's tweet comes as Trump — perhaps inspired by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo — promotes the conspiracy theory that anti-Brett Kavanaugh protestors are paid operatives of Soros, a longtime boogeyman of right wing conspiracists."

House Democrat Promises Kavanaugh Investigation if Party Wins Control

"Speaking on the eve of Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation vote this weekend, Mr. Nadler said that there was evidence that Senate Republicans and the F.B.I. had overseen a "whitewash" investigation of the allegations and that the legitimacy of the Supreme Court was at stake. He sidestepped the issue of impeachment.

"It is not something we are eager to do," Mr. Nadler said in an interview. "But the Senate having failed to do its proper constitutionally mandated job of advise and consent, we are going to have to do something to provide a check and balance, to protect the rule of law and to protect the legitimacy of one of our most important institutions."

You've got to wonder what the mood is at the FBI right now. They've been made to look like incompetent fools and puppets.

I'd also like to be able to listen in to discussions among the other Supremes about this farce.

You too: why?

McConnell says rage over Kavanaugh played into GOP's hands

""It's been a great political gift for us. The tactics have energized our base," McConnell said. "I want to thank the mob, because they've done the one thing we were having trouble doing, which was energizing our base." In remarks on the Senate floor before the vote commenced, McConnell said voting for Kavanaugh would end "this brief, dark chapter" in history."

Trump says those who made 'false statements' about Kavanaugh 'should be held liable'

"Hours after his Supreme Court pick was sworn in Saturday, President Donald Trump said on Fox News that those who made up "false" stories about Brett Kavanaugh should be penalized.

Trump, talking with Fox News' Jeanine Pirro, said he hated watching the slew of sexual assault allegations grow against Kavanaugh and dubbed all the accusations "fabrications" with "not a bit of truth."

"I think that they should be held liable," Trump told Pirro. "You can't go around and whether it's making up stories or making false statements about such an important position, you can't do that. You can destroy somebody's life."

Does that mean starting libel cases? Do it. Dooo iiit.

I hope so to. A federal investigation, no holds barred, would be great!

This is only part of it.  To be sure, there is almost limitless joy to be had in watching the hysteria caused by hordes of American lefties getting all worked up about a SCOTUS nomination, to the point that even the failing New York Times published an op-ed deeply analyzing a high school yearbook and lefties taking such nonsense seriously.  The inherently inane commentary of non-Americans is just a bonus.  It's hilarious and never gets old.  But of course there's more to it.  With a consistent 5-4 conservative majority, the serious business of dismantling portions of the Great Society can begin and have proper legal cover.  It's unlikely that the New Deal will be dismantled, but one can hope.  Granted, the vicissitudes of electoral cycles will prevent a continuous and sustained repeal and alteration of said laws, and only small and impartial victories will be won, but that's good enough.  Now, if RBG kicks the bucket soon, something that would be an unalloyed good for the Republic, then Trump gets another shot, and Dems would become incurably apoplectic.  The Kavanaugh fiasco would appear calm and reasonable by comparison.  It would be fantastic.

I'm also hoping that since Dems revealed their desperation by delving so deeply into high school behavior that the next time around we move into serious consideration of middle school behavior.  The objective should be to get to the point where pulling pig tails in grade school would become fair game for sustained public attacks.

And all of this might have been avoided with Justice Garland.

Bless Mitch!

Kavanaugh committed one of his assaults in high school. And whatever you think about what he did back then, the lies he tells now are disqualifying.

Repubs now theorize that since Ford was assaulted by someone one it must have been by a different person calling himself Brett Kavanaugh and with a buddy named Mark Judge, possibly not the real Mark Judge but a second imposter.

That comment is disingenuous and just plain stupid. Kavanaugh (K) was accused of attempted rape and he lied repeatedly about his character and behavior in high school in an attempt to refute the allegation and discredit the accuser. Probing his obvious falsehoods doesn't show desperation on the part of Dems, it shows due diligence — the kind the assclown in chief and his cronies should have undertaken before nominating this specimen. The desperation was all on the Republican side. They were so desperate to get someone — anyone — on the SCOTUS before the midterm elections that they forced through a nominee with multiple credible allegations of sexual assault against him rather than admit their mistake and find an acceptable candidate.

Yeah, this is the good stuff.

He makes a fully acceptable Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.
