Great song, and probably their best imo. For overall albums, though, I love Persecution Mania. The drums are pleasingly edgy, borderline out of control. It really adds to the sound.

I love their drummer, as a personality as well. He looks like he's having so much fun in clips like this - sort of like a Leukemia patient who has gotten to play with their favourite band as a treat:

Sadly I think he died recently. Incidentely I've always thought Sodom's singer looks a little like M, formerly from this forum.

I agree on all points. I laughed like crazy over the last sentence.

Is this recent? Sounds pretty cool; there's a great off time-y riff in there. The drums are spectacular.

I still have their earliest stuff.

@Andy, I just gave Persecution Mania a play for the first time in ages and was surprised how refined it sounded - very comparable to Agent Orange, but a little more go for the throat. Now I'm on Code Red (1999):

CODE RED

CODE RED

(Sodom aren't really a "chorus" band ;D)

Not keen on the production of this one - very noisy and modern, but the songwriting is remarkably unaffected by the 90s, which proved so artistically terrifying for most thrash bands (their compatriots Kreator being particular victims of this). M-16 (2001) next - can't recall if this one sucks or not.

Noooo don't make me remember it ???

That tune drove me insane, Guantanamo noise torture style when I was grinding the arena.

Edit: M-16 is weak. It has better production, but it's mostly mid-tempo and despite being technically okay, the band sounds slightly bored.

Perfectly apparent that it's Phil Collins at the trap set in "No Self Control" : )

I haven't checked out M-18 or much of Code Red. I liked what I heard of the latter. You might like some of Better off Dead, Tapping the Vein, and Masquerade in Blood. The title tracks of the latter two are especially great.

I'm getting back to some hard rock now, a good one from my singer.

Me too Karl! I have most of his albums and that one is my favorite.

I approve.  8) Even though I never need to hear it again....well, at least not so far.

I'm reliving a childhood favorite. I recall finding the early Judas Priest albums in cut out bargain bins in the late '70's. They were like my "secret" band, few knew of them then.
