Just look at them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX2bE-OBtwk (I've never wanted to be in a room more.)

Don't think the album title has aged well for him.

Still, it's one I don't have and I should correct that.

Apparently this is quite old. Listening for first time. Blown away. (I'm a big Richard Thompson fan, or was back in the 80s).
It's all good...

I haven't heard of that one before now.  Reading the fine print, it looks like covers of his songs?

Love Richard Thompson's music.  Have you ever seen him perform before?  I've been fortunate and seen him three times though I have friends who've seen him whenever he comes around their area (which had been quite often in the past).  His live shows are great!

yes, it's all covers. But really good ones.
I saw him twice, back in the 80s, both solo. Once in a smallish club in Austin, Tx, and then in a tent at a big jazz festival in New Orleans. I think he's become much bigger since then.

Todd's post for Salif Keita above got me curious.  Dug up an older disk, "Anthology." A nice find.

Happy 1500th Page Day.

(Hoping I didn't set some option years ago that paginates posts differently.)

Deeply soulful grooves - funky.

(Just noticed the disc is hard to read. It is Gloria Jones's Share My Love.)

Good album.

I listened to "When the Spell is Broken" with Bonnie Raitt and the Five Blind Boys of Alabama:  excellent!  :)

I've been listening to a New Wave playlist on Qobuz.  Plenty of great hits, but also plenty of good songs that I had not heard before.  If anyone wants to check it out and has Qobuz, the playlist is called "New Wave Hits of the 80s".

Could you please include the band's name as probably a number of us don't know to whom you are referring?  :)
