Nice!

Not really, Manabu. I never really liked this album to be honest.

I still occasionally give albums a spin that I did not like in the past to see if my opinion has changed over time.
This was such a case but my opinion has not changed since I first heard it a long time ago now.

When I was around 12 y/o, this album and the first album of Pink Floyd were my fav music.

I was never a big fan of the early Pink Floyd music.
I preferred their middle to later music.

I've come to like Piper at the Gates of Dawn very much. I've never heard the Saucerful of Secrets album, but I should chill more with Ummagumma.

Ummagumma was my first exposure to PF and has remained my favorite - but I am not much of a fan otherwise.

I think I was a big fan of Syd Barrett, the original leader, more than Pink Floyd.  :)

I started to seriously listen to music because of Piper at the Gates of Dawn when I was around 10 y/o. While the Japanese album included See Emily Play, I don't think the USA album had it. All the songs were memorable, but I especially liked Lucifer Sam, Flaming, and Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk.

I have a feeling that you will dig Saucerful of Secrets.  ;D   Plus such a nice cover art.

I was very much more a fan of David Gilmore's playing style than that of Syd Barrett, Manabu. That can be a very touchy subject for Pink Floyd fans.  ;D

I think that I originally had all of the early Pink Floyd albums but I eventually sold them on   :)

Yes, I like the guitar playing of Gilmore. His first solo in Comfortably Numb is my fav.

Nice! In general, I am rather put off by The Wall, so it's nice to be reminded of its occasional high spots!

Cheers, Manabu.

Do you play guitar or any other instrument?

I feel the same way. The Wall is the last Floyd album I bought and imho it's a mixed bag. Still I like some songs such as Hey You and Young Lust.

Yes, I did play a lot in a former life but not so much any more.
