Once I'm done with my classical, the rest will be dedicated to Forever Grey, whose entire catalog I purchased a while back through Bandcamp:

They categorize themselves as darkwave; I'd simply call them goth.

Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L4YMKlpPog might be the perfect song. Every song is improved by adding in a 2-minute dance breakdown section. Yes, every. 8)

I am trying to envision Silent Scream with a dance breakdown section . . .

No need to envision, just add it on - I was like how could Bach's WTC be made better ... 2-minute dance breakdown added to the end of each - boom, instantly better. 8)

In fact, I just add the Personal Jesus breakdown, lol. 8)

The 2-disc set, and after just one pass I'm determined to buy the full 8-cd box when I find it.

Nice!

I hope to see the Springsteen movie when it comes to my area; I missed the Dylan one.  :(

Have you seen either one Simon?

Beach House - Once Twice Melody

Autechre - L-event
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

I don't generally like biopic films so haven't. But I'll probably end up watching both at some later point.

I read the book Deliver Me From Nowhere which the film takes as it's source and can recommend that highly if you're interested in the Nebraska era Springsteen.

If you see the film I'll be interested to hear what you make of it.

Love Beach House. One of the very few modern bands I'll buy on day of release.

Comparing a number of versions of "Dink's Song (Fare The Well)", including this one:

And learning from wikipedia:

"The first historical record of the song was by ethnomusicologist John Lomax in 1909, who recorded it as sung by an African American woman called Dink, as she washed her husband's clothes in a tent camp of migratory levee-builders on the bank of the Brazos River, a few miles from Houston, Texas."
