christ, what about Stockhausen etc.? ....blows the lightweight fumblings of Richard D. out of the water!

I don't count classical and pop as the same thing.

Electronic music is electronic music, it's all over irregardless of idiom tag, and if you truly want to find "a replacement" or something that's better to the over-rated tripe you seem to be becoming bored with, than you have to look in more fruitful pastures...i.e. 'real' composers

"Real" composers can't make music you can dance to - sorry, I don't like sitting in my chair all the time.

Wow, you're being an even bigger dick than usual. Congratulations are in order.

Morning!

I'm starting the day with an absolute gem in the traditional folk music crown.

It doesn't get much better than this!

Kraftwerk would take offence to that; perhaps not in terms of compositional complexity, but their rhythmic structure is admirable, I'd say.

Speaking of which:

There's a completely different kind of listening involved with Luigi Nono, Stockhausen, Luc Ferrari, et al. than there is for Aphex Twin, et al. Lethe wasn't even close to conflating the two respective types, or saying that Aphex is as complex or interesting than the others.  ::)

If you like Kraftwerk, I'd recommend Yellow Magic Orchestra. I actually prefer them to Kraftwerk. :)

Again!

How do you feel about it, Minnesota Dave?

I'm not sure yet. It's not horrible.

I show 1001 for that one, my friend. But all my posts are usually short, to the point and open to misinterpretation. ;)

Well, the counter must be hosed, because now all the posts on this page are 1002s.

"Irregardless" isn't English.
