Aww, man, we can hardly get any more specific ATM :D I rec Atomizer for some good Australian thrashy black'n'roll

Played earlier:

There seems to be a really amusing fan backlash against this, but I like it.

Thanks, Sara. I'll check them out too... I bought the new Absu. Great stuff...

This is in the vehicle, by the way. Makes me practically fly to work...

I tried to like them but that vocalist really turns me off.

Mmm .... shit happens.
(Not for me though, in this particular case. :))

You might want to try the new line-up, then.
Paul McLoone has a high voice too, but with far less vibrato than Feargal Sharkey.
Together with a close friend I saw & heard 3 Undertones (McLoone & the O'Neill bros) two weeks ago, together with a bongo percussionist called Kevin, in a semi-acoustic concert. Very enjoyable indeed!
After the concert, to our surprise the band came to our table and we talked all night. Correction: we talked and drank all night, and I eventually had to cope with a hangover that lasted three days.
;D

Whilst talking with the Undertones, we also mentioned (and fully agreed about) the greatness of The Smiths!

Every time I mention to my older students that I recently discovered King Crimson, they push Queen on me. More Fripp, less (YAWN) May.
