Beautiful! First time really enjoying Wheeler anyway.

There's a piece on it called "More is Less" which got me thinking. More is only more as less is more and less (which can be a good thing!) is only less as more is less (think about fast percussion in music for example).

Tony Bennett - Jazz -well, just finished the album and put on a Sinatra disc - for us the change was like going from purgatory to heaven; after this listening, guess that I'm just not a Tony fan - any comments out there on this guy?

I don't like Tony. He has a smooth voice but no emotion whatsoever. He could be singing "I love you" or "I'm going to kill you" and sound exactly the same. My personal favorite is still Mel Torme--silky voice, versatile styles--saw him twice in person. "Gone too soon" (I didn't feel that way about the recently deceased MJ).
If music be the food of love, hold the mayo.

Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

It's probably their most satisfying studio album. Many of the bands from that time and place were really only at their best on stage, and didn't know how to get all the barely controlled chaos onto a recording without taming it down and losing what's special about it. My favorite Airplane album is the live one from 1969, Bless Its Pointed Little Head.

And Thirty Seconds Over Winterland (1972) is pretty good.

Some super neat black metal covers by Moonblood of various metal songs. The Manowar Thor cover is great, and manages to both be funny and fits with their style amazingly well, but the most interesting is Iron Maiden's The Trooper, where the singer uses clean vocals. At times he does sound Bruce-esque, but mostly he just has an outrageously glorious German accent.

Oh man this is such guff. It's as if simply touching an electric violin dooms the victim to a lifetime of producing terrible music. I've never heard anything good emerge from one.
