Anyone care to explain the beauties of Cornwall to me? I'm utterly in love and repelled at the same time...

For the UK it can have nice weather. I've surfed there a couple of times and the beaches were pleasant.
If you're a meat eater a real Cornish pasty can be good. And there's a local cheese I like called 'Yarg' (originally brought over when the Klingons fought King Arthur) and also the traditional 'cream tea'. But on the other side of the coin there's 'Stargazy pie' and the hell with even looking at that.
"You overestimate my power of attraction," he told her. "No, I don't," she replied sharply, "and neither do you".

You get a sense of it from the TV series Poldark which is filmed there - beautiful coastal scenery. I was on holiday there last summer (Boscastle). Weather, for the UK, is usually good. Nice ice cream too! If you like walking in the countryside it is great. Malcolm Arnold's 'Padstow Lifeboat' relates to the town in Cornwall. The composer George Lloyd lived there.

Oh, I'm sure that is not typical Cornish behaviour.

Well, my local town Lewes, East Sussex is apparently full of witches.  >:D

I can tell you where to make a devil of a deal for it: Ankar's in Chattanooga, TN. It has a certain hot ingredient in it I cannot reveal (to protect a confidence), but believe it to be the Best in the World - so deelicious I bought the tee-shirt. There's a place in Berlin that legend has is the best, been there, it ain't.

So enjoyed the second production of Poldark we are now screening the first. Both have their merits and can be recommended.

Yes, we are avid fans here. Series three to be screened here (UK) very soon.

Here's an advert for the first series containing some glimpses of the Cornish coastal scenery:
