The Kammerkonzert had 3 points before Ken took 1 point away from it, and then 2 points which Florestan took away.

My bad, I misread the post, please continue from Florestan's

Can hardly wait for the opportunity to kill it! It'll be the most precious trophy of my new career as a merciless puppy-killer!  ;D

Revenge for the killing of your sick puppy Enescu, I assume. Bring it on!

I actually quite like the Nonet. Certainly more than several things left. But it seemed the thing to do.  >:D

I think it isn't about voting down works we "don't like" so much as (in our own minds) ranking the works and voting them down in reverse order of preference.  I like all these works, but some more than others.  So I will be voting them down in reverse order of my likes.

This is precisely the point of the game. It's about creating an order of the winning works in the other rounds. +1ing a work that is already in a safe position (above 6 points) doesn't really put the +1 vote to much use. The idea is that a greater number of votes counting down to 0 means a general consensus can be achieved.

My thought process is this: I would personally prefer to listen to Mozart's serenade no. 10 maybe a tiny bit more than Mozart's Quintet for Piano and Winds, so I will attempt to bring each of the votes closer together. 11 points is extremely high; no work has ever garnered so many points in a game like this I have run elsewhere, so it would probably be more interesting to bring it down into the realm of single digits. I love both works very very much!

Well, I don't give any thought to creating an order or a general consensus.  For me, the point of a knockout game is to get rid of all the works that stand in the way of my favored work being the last one standing.  Also, I don't think that any work is in a safe position until it's the only one left.

It's you who killed Enescu? I wasn't aware of that. Way to go!

Normally I could / should have killed Brahms's Horn Trio but bringing the Nonet closer to extinction is funnier.

Honestly, I have no stake in this game and I couldn't care less who wins, I just react to the saccharine "killing puppies" melodrama.
