A few weeks ago, GMG member kyjo initiated a thread titled "Top Ten Chamber Music Slow Movements".  I have taken kyjo's theme, expanded it to any chamber works movement and put it into a game environment.

Having borrowed kyjo's theme, I am automatically placing his top ten slow movements into the selection category:

Selections (10):

Brahms - Piano Quartet no. 3, III
Chausson - Concert for violin, piano, and string quartet, III
Dvořák - String Quartet no. 13, II
Hindemith - String Quartet no. 1, II
Juon - Piano Trio no. 1, II
Ravel - Piano Trio, III
Schubert - String Quintet, II
Schumann - Piano Quartet, III
Taneyev - Piano Quartet, II
Vaughan Williams - Piano Quintet, II

It's now the time for the rest of us to make our selections.

You may make up to 2 selections on a daily basis.

Beethoven, string quartet op 132, 3rd movement, « Heiliger Dankgesang ».

I believe that Beethoven's no. 15, op. 132/3 has already been selected.

Mozart - Oboe Quartet/1
Weber - Grand Duo Concertante/1

Can I ask for someone's opinion on Lachenmann's Allegro Sostenuto? I see the score as divided into sections/movements that are labelled with roman numerals, although these sections labelled with roman numerals aren't exactly heard as individual movements in the same way we can hear the first movement of Mozart's oboe quartet as a complete component in its own right. I would like to nominate it, but I don't know whether I am supposed to nominate a few bars or the whole thing.

If you hear it as a single movement work, select the work.  If not, go with sections.
