Where can I find FLAC high-res (at least CD quality) downloads at a reasonable price? I am interested in buying single tracks (and not entire albums) in some cases. Amazon of course has the same tired, old mp3s, so I am not interested in them.

I am getting tired of CDs. I will keep the ones I have, but going forward, I am inclined toward LPs, and downloads...

BTW, I live in the U.S. so don't have access to all the cool European stuff (e.g., Qobuz and fifty trillion other good things)  :P

Thanks for any suggestions.

Qobuz is supposed to be available in the US Real Soon Now.

Presto also sells Jazz downloads, but I don't see a way to browse for Jazz in general.  You can select Jazz as a "music type" when searching within new releases.  Or you can search labels like Verve and Impulse.

Some other sites:

I understand not wanting the clutter of CDs, but it's still often the cheapest way to get lossless recordings.  You could always sell or give away the CDs after ripping them.

Intakt usually releases two versions of digital albums: 24-bit FLAC ($15.80) and 16-bit FLAC ($9.80) (and 320k mp3, ALAC, WAV, etc.)

16-bit FLAC is available for any albums on bandcamp labels: Dark Tree, Sunnyside, Ayler, PI, Destination: OUT (FMP), ...
