While it's true I myself haven't listened to them that often, I think Bach's four part chorales (meaning the ones arranged/composed for chorus or vocal quartet, as opposed to the organ chorales) are an underrated portion of his output.

I have come a long ways to enjoying these quartets more and more, and I agree, the second quartet is the best of the lot.

Strange, it all displays as normal for me. Can you see Eloy - Colours?

The cover image for Eloy – Colours is hidden on Discogs, much like that of Arnold Bax. Still, they do mention it's visible to registered users. One can only assume Discogs would rather not risk a run-in with the more excitable wings of the child protection lobby, or whatever well-meaning lunatics are on patrol this week.

Exactly. Clearly, the folks at Discogs would prefer not to engage with idiots more often than absolutely inevitable. Which, to be fair, is an entirely reasonable policy. Splendid resource, by the way.

The UK is now demanding websites that may host adult content introduce strong age verification checks so once they get AI searching sites and finding images like these we may find some sites demand ID that we may not feel safe giving them while others such as GMG who don't want to spend the time and money on it get blocked. Hey, the internet was fun while it lasted :'( .

This new album of Valentyn Silvestrov's music was released yesterday. It is a collection of gentle, diaphanous pieces that feel rather like a dream, so characteristic of his late style. They say it carries echoes of memory. And perhaps I catch the feeling of old Kyiv, the composer's native city, drifting through: a city once calm and leafy, full of quiet, kind-hearted people and simple, tasty food.

Now, Russian missiles and drones arrive with grim regularity, bringing destruction. It is difficult to imagine. Far easier to slip back into the serene memory of that peaceful city that once was.

Nope! (other than thumbnails). Screen says "Image Hidden" with a tab that says "Learn Why" which reveals another statement: "Image Hidden Due to Content." Turns out that you have to be signed-in to see the covers of some albums judged, apparently, to be "objectionable." Thanks for your response!
