Gustav Mahler: Symphony No.2 in C minor, the "Resurrection". Otto Klemperer, Philharmonia Orchestra & Chorus

Haven't heard this killer performance in a long time. Sounds great.

Gustav Mahler: Rückert-Lieder. Janet Baker, John Barbirolli, New Philharmonia Orchestra

The Philharmonia really got whipped into shape as a fine Mahler orchestra in the '60s under Klemperer and Barbirolli. Anyway, this recording is all about the amazing singing, but I love just about everything about it.

This looks interesting! I see that Maestro Halffter is the son of Cristobal and grand-nephew of Ernesto.

The same conductor/orchestra did a very fine Korngold Symphony
