I found this CD transfer.

However there appears to be yet another with the Minneapolis Symphony.

I don't know the date of this one, though.
even a sacd edition

I bought this when it first came out but, for some reason, have just got round to listening to it. It is a very fine, urgent and beautifully recorded work. The 'Theme and Variations for School Orchestra' was a nice bonus. I still am very attached to the versions of the Symphony by Previn, Downes and Kempe but this is a CD I expect that I will often return to (like in 5 minutes time  ::))

Looks nice! Any good?  :)

Q

Very good but hard to find, If you like O'Dette (his playing) this is a must, the music of Neusidler is first class.

Have you heard the earlier LSO/Dorati version which was on Mercury? I haven't but some say it is even better.

I own that one too!

It's great... I prefer the later one because the RCG playing is better than the LSO (not that the LSO is poor by any means) but that earlier one is a great record in its own right

Disc two.  Very fine.  This set easily surpasses the Leopold Trio, though I do not suspect I will be buying too many more sets of the trios.

All of this talk of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker is making me want to listen to my favored Svetlanov recording!

Very nice! I have the Schoenberg Quartet's set on Chandos and have been more than pleased with the performances. I bet Arditti are very good as well.

Balakirev, Mily (1837-1910) - Symphonies, Poems, & Piano Concertos on the three discs below w/ performers on the cover art - listened to his solo piano pieces yesterday - now some orchestral works to finish out my modest collection.  Dave

As I do not listen to WCRB much--my parakeet listens to the radio more often than do I, this is one of the pieces which does not get spoilt for me from unnecessary frequency. I thus revisited it with exultation today:

A very nice collection of Baroque Christmas concertos.  Outstanding sound quality.  :)

This group's Faustina Bordoni tribute release is also superb.  ;)

(may play that one later today)

Cheers GMG!
Wise words from Que:

Never waste a good reason for a purchase....  ;)
