Can't you stream the Wordsworth? Just do that since you don't buy physical product.

And if you use Qobuz, you certainly can stream it:

Will do in due time, John. Thank you!

I was somewhat disappointed by this work. It's early Novák if my memory serves. Nice enough but not outstanding.

After Oboe Purgatory, the Elysian Fields.

I suspect that recording of the Elgar would have been much better known if Glorious John had not done it again with Dupre.

My Musical Musings

Wilhelm Peterson-Berger: Symphony No.2 in E-flat major, "Sunnanfärd". Michail Jurowski, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra

I purchased this CD more or less blindly after seeing some folks on here talking about it a couple weeks ago, and I really like it. A fairly conservative composer, I suppose, but a gifted melodist and orchestrator. I like it.

Delightful! Witty and charming music, thoroughly tonal with just the right amount of dissonance mixed in. Reminds me a lot of Poulenc...
So much great music, so little time...

Emil Tabakov: 5 Bulgarian Dances. Emil Tabakov, Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra

Another blind purchase based on the rave reviews of some people here. Sounds awesome so far. Very percussive oriented.

You and I feel similarly. It really wasn't too memorable, but there was some beautiful writing for the piano --- of course, this isn't enough to save it for me.

Now playing this entire recording (a new acquisition):

Lovely, but I suppose this was to be expected. Gorgeous works.
