Nice to know - Foccroulle's Böhm is in my listening list. What impressed me about Tuinstra's Böhm, is his Vater Unser Im Himmelreich. I'm just getting into Böhm's music, and this was the piece that drew me in — so for now, it's my starting point.

For a contrast with Tuinstra's approach in Vater Unser, try Leonhardt (on North German Organ Music CD 3) and Menno van Delft on youtube here

These performances are much more to my taste. They don't sound pale as performed on period instruments.

I like these performances as well.

Fürchtet euch nicht!
Music from the German Baroque.
Bassoons & Bombards.
See back cover for details.
SYNTAGMA AMICI & VOX LUMINIS.
with the participation of Julie Roset, Soprano &  Paulin Bündgen, Countertenor.
Recorded: Gedinne, église Notre-Dame, 2018 & Centeilles, église Notre-Dame, 2019 & 2020.

Following @Que lead, by playing this recording. I skipped some of the vocal parts , like the introduction "Hosiana dem Sohne David" but  "Invenerunt me Custodes Civitatis" is really beautifully sung.   Don't  think that the recording is recorded in  a way I like, but the music certainly is.

I also tend to favor Foccroulle, even if he uses an equally tuned organ. A pity he didn't make a complete recording. However this isn't bad either:

Thank you, I listened Menno van Delft's version, it is nice and simple. I can not locate Leonhardt's - either I'm missing something right in front of me, or it's really not available on streaming ;)

Johann Gottlieb Janitsch.
Sonata da Camera, Vol.1.
See back cover for detail.
Ensemble Notturna, Christopher Palameta.
Recorded: 2008, Église Saint-Augustin, Mirabel, (Québec) Canada.

After a pretty long time I return to these excellent recordings. I almost forgot how good they are. So, the mastery of Palameta's playing is a marvel, and a ultimate pleasure to listen to. Janitsch is a good composer and he fully deserved the merit all the musicians put into this project, and they can hold their position, because frankly, there are  no other interpretations of these works, so far as I know, that could compete. Sound is superb.

Antonio Caldara.
12 Sinfonie a quattro.
Ars Antiqua Austria, Gunar Letzbor.
Recorded:église St. Maria della Madonna ad Nives, Montemagno, 2003.

This ensemble performs twelve of these symphonies , clearly conceived as orchestral music, without lacking richness of sound and melodic tension. Considering the forces Letzbor is using it sounds quite remarkable. I like this version. Not often recorded though. The sound is clear and straightforward. To listen in one go, could be for most an ordeal without nodding off, but for those hardened by battle, might make it unscathed, to the end ;D  ;D
