Funny, but you missed my point. Let me explain :
I consider that a composer capable of providing as much pleasure to anyone as Liszt do to me (and others).

I've never said of any composer he was not a genius because I didn't like him.

Much as Liszt would probably appreciate your hero worship (he might have appreciated it more if you had the profile of a Vanessa Mae ), I have to agree with the others that you're making the same mistake you accuse Josquin of making.  Simply because you get pleasure out of it is no measure of Liszt's genius.  A lot of people get pleasure out of the likes of Hank Williams, Jr.

But do you think the pleasure Britney Spears's music can bring to someone is as great as the pleasure you get out of Beethoven's?

  Oh haven't you heard, apparently Britney Spears is THE greatest influence on Western Music! That's why she's mentioned in this thread  . 

This is what Britney spears had to say prior to her invitation to give a speech at MIT (supposedly a very good school  ):

"I would like to restrict my talk only to literary issues in the art and history of music," Britney told reporters. She added, "I would like to introduce people to the Three-B model of western music history. The Three-B model states that the three greatest musical composers of all time are: Bach, Beethoven, and Britney. Other composers are just details but I would give them a few footnotes in musical history."

  Now I would like to ask you who is more stupid Britney Spears or MIT for inviting her to lecture in the first place?
