Long time no see / what did I miss?
« on: July 30, 2020, 03:11:08 PM »
Hi folks,

Haven't been here in a few... years...? You know, work, kids etc. Moved from Chicago to Seattle. What's been going on here? Everyone doing OK?

Oh, oh my, wow! MishaK! Welcome back, heartily! Indeed a very long time no see. Hope you're here to stay!

Hey, Misha, good to see you again.

Hello Misha.  And I love your avatar!  RTH?  I can't see the tail well (though they don't eat fish).

Hey, thanks for all the warm greetings. Yes, I guess I'm back. I can't promise I'll be here too regularly. But I'll try.

PS: I got to meet our former fellow forum member Greta and her husband twice, once before my move in Chicago and last year here in Seattle. We went to hear the Rite with Salonen and the CSO the first time.

Yes, it's a RTH and I'm aware they don't eat fish.  ;) I just got lucky taking that pic (on the campus of Northwestern University several years ago) and I thought it funny that a hawk would enforce fishing bans.

Welcome back. What I find myself wondering is whether, on December 11, 2016, you made a conscious decision to take a break from the site, or whether you just get distracted.
