Recently I heard that Billie Eilish is a holder of synesthesia experiences though I don't know if her synesthesia involves with the sound. Scriabin explored the theory of synesthesia, specifically the color of sound, but I don't think he was a holder of synesthesia. Any classical composers or performers with synesthesia? If it involves with the sound, I imagine it would obstruct, rather than enhance, musical activities. Just a guess.

Messiaen famously reported perceiving colors with sound.

p.s.  This is supposedly a list of "Pseudo-synesthete composers".  http://www.daysyn.com/pseudo-synesthete-composers.html  I had heard years ago that Arthur Bliss was a synesthete, but, here, it doesn't sound like that.  http://www.daysyn.com/pseudo-synesthete-composers.html

Aaron Jay Kernis has synesthesia and uses color in the title of many works because of it.  By the way, your title has nothing to do with this thread.

Thanks a lot. Fun to read their symptoms. I am not surprised to see Sibelius on the list.
