I'd like the photograph even more without the telephone pole.

Despite the unpleasant nature I like this picture because it provides a couple of insights into West of Scotland life that still exists to this day.
Early 1970s, a march in protest at deployment of British troops in Norn Iron is interrupted by a loyalist. The man in the overcoat is a policeman. Notice that while both of his arms are being used to confront the attacker he's showing the outside of them. That's because the weapon he's facing is an open razor (if your inner arm or palm is sliced with one of those, it's harder to make a fist or simply push someone away) but despite that, the cop is so experienced and in control he hasn't even taken the cigarette out of his mouth.
"You overestimate my power of attraction," he told her. "No, I don't," she replied sharply, "and neither do you".

I received this chuckle-worthy email this morning.  Looks like William Randolph Bezos gave AmPo the green light to hire comedians in the marketing department.

How about you delete that here, repost it in the Trump thread, and then we can have the protracted argument you're clearly wanting.

Yes, sewerage goes in the sewer. That's the basis of modern sanitation.

We have a thread for toxic political material, let's keep it there.

I love it when people quote themselves on this forum, as if that lends additional weight to their frivolous utterances.

Now you're pedaling propaganda from the Russian Intelligence Service?

I know the photographer is Russian. Does he work for the state in some way?

I like the photo for the juxtaposition, of course, but also for a variety of other aesthetic reasons.
