Men profess to be lovers of music, but for the most part they give no evidence in their opinions and lives that they have heard it.  ~ Henry David Thoreau

Alfred Eisenstaedt's photograph of Goebbels, who had recently learned that Eisenstaedt was Jewish. (Carlton Hotel during Goebbels' first trip abroad to attend the League of Nations, in 1933)

It reminded me of this interview:

Dude, and I thought Japanese was bad with the homonyms!  ;D

I really like the consistent spelling and cool-sounding words that Finnish has to offer. Probably my second or third favorite language, if I ever made a list. I doubt I'll ever really learn it since there's pretty much no need to, but I do remember having some fun learning some basic grammar and such a few years ago. I remember thinking it was quite inflective, which I normally don't like, but the words sounded so cool that I ended up seeing it as a positive thing.

Yeah, the inflections must be pretty strange to English speakers :D

talo-ssa-ni-kin-ko, where talo = house, -ssa = in, -ni = my, -kin = too, and -ko = question.
Quote from: Wikipedia (Inflection)Hungarian and Finnish, in particular, often simply concatenate suffixes. For example, Finnish talossanikinko "in my house, too?" consists of talo-ssa-ni-kin-ko.
