All that's wrong with that ad could fill a book!

There will never be another era like the Golden Age of Hollywood.  We didn't know how to blow up buildings then so we had no choice but to tell great stories with great characters.-Ben Mankiewicz

Aw, the dying medium is trying to survive. How cute!

There will always be a niche for vinyl. The sign is very smart marketing. I'm sure the store had increased sales by customers appreciative of the tactile experience.

Most likely -- just like trading cards, comic books, and other ephemera -- record albums will have a resurgence of collector interest in the future. Unfortunately, it will probably happen long after it will benefit me.

If I followed the same trend as last year, then my next phase, which will happen in January, will be Delius. Nothing wrong with that! ;D But, seriously, I've just been so enamored with Elgar's music. I really have made a connection with his music which I feel I can finally say, with some certainty, that I understand why listeners whose this man's music touches haunts them for the rest of their lives.

I always liked Elgar's music but I never loved it. It wasn't until last year whenever his Symphony No. 2 fired at my ears like a cannon that everything began to click with me. After this, everything started just happening one work after the other. I can't really explain this metamorphosis, but I can say I'm glad it happened.

John, nice pictures.  Although I must say I liked most the picture you had for your avatar just prior to this one--Elgar seemed to be on the point of giving someone heck about something.

That's pretty cool, though. I've always liked his music, but never loved it (Sym 2, for example); always a nice experience when it becomes something greater to you.

Yeah, but I must say that I like this neutral picture of him. You don't know whether he's smiling or even pissed. The enigmatic Elgar. 8)
