Good point - wonder if he contemplated that - though STOP is more compelling in the title.
True. But I'm still amused by the train tracks on the cover :D

Two clever covers of recent books.  I have long hoped to write an article on the meaning and use of railroad-related images in modern Am. culture (most see RRs as antiquated - they are anything but! - and the survival of steam locomotives and cabooses in the public imagination is fascinating in and of itself) but I've always been hung-up on methodology.  The author's name of the Internet-related title is cause for wonderment!  And concern.

As for the other book....fascination with trains is a well known trait among Aspies. It is something of a stereotype but not devoid of reality.  Robinson was undoubtedly playing off that. (As you might guess, I perseverate on music, not trains.)

Quite so!  In fact, there was an excellent NYT article from several years ago on that very topic : http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/14/nyregion/children-with-autism-connecting-via-bus-and-train.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

I agree that it is a good symbol of our situation. But does this represent addiction? I think he is the luckiest rabbit in the cosmos.
It's all good...

Yes, but will he die from eating too many carrots? That is the question....   >:D

I don't think carrots are something one gorges to death on, even for a rabbit.
I will confess here that I do intend to listen to classical music til it kills me--but I am pretty sure it will take 30 or more years 8)

I live along the edge of a nature preserve, and most of the summer saw a bunny each day. Then since August, no more bunny sightings.  :'(
I hope it was carrot overload ...

Wasn't it in August when you started to listen more seriously to Stockhausen and Ligeti?

He reminds me of Carter's "Attack Rabbit!"

Bogey

Live in Colorado since '84 and did not see a rabbit until close to 2008.  Now you cannot count them all as you drive down our suburb road.

Hmmm,  saw this dreadful movie as a kid:

Not sure if this will stay up, but my score after guessing test questions so I could see the answers. I should frame this and hang it on the wall.
