James Jorden of Parterre Box, RIP

Sad to hear of the death yesterday of James Jorden, opera lover and creator of Parterre Box. A few times I found myself sitting next to him at concerts, and though we didn't quite hit it off, there was no denying his love of all things vocal, and his often acid sense of humor. The music world is a little grayer without him.
