I try to relegate my contributions in this forum to live performances but this version of Verdi's Requiem, recorded at La Scala, Milan, is an exceptionally well performed "recording". The extent to which the musicians mimicked playing or singing remains a matter of conjecture but it's a beautiful record, nonetheless.
