Kurt Joos' ballet "The green tabel" music by Fritz Cohen Lasting about 30 minutes and subtitled "A dance of death in eight scenes," The Green Table is a commentary on the futility of war and the horrors it causes.

Indeed. The only familiar name to me in that last video you posted is "YouTube"...  ;D  ;D  ;D

Good day to you, Peter!

And a good day from the sweltering low Countries! A storm is brewing and the heat is unpleasant. definitely no time for dancing...

"Der grüne Tisch" is more famous -actually iconic - as a choreography and I have seen it performed in both Belgium and the Netherlands. F.A.Cohens score (two pianos, not orchestrated afaik), shifts from ragtime to playful and very ominous, but leaves me cold.

I'm not well informed about the music of Gottfried von Einem, Egon Wellesz and Werner Egk,  Harald Genzmer, Boris Blacher, Wolfgang Fortner, Herman Reutter ...Some ( Egk) kept on working during WW2, others remained in the shadow of Hindemith . CPO did a lot to record their music and great artists (Fischer Dieskau, Wunderlich ...sang premieres).
But afaik, their music is very rarely performed live.

I replace the Reger with Karol Rathaus's Der letzte Pierrot from this recording:

Such a cool and eclectic ballet, and the music has a strong sense of narrative. A very fun, colourful score. A winner in my book.
The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied.
