And for me, very slow.
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

For me this slowness started 5 days ago, early responder I guess,  ;D but honestly it's true, 5 days ago it took ages before the site responded, and it got worse, gravely so.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

4270 users online today. It might explain the current slowness.
The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied. The terror IS REAL more than ever!

Okay. All good then.  ;)

Quote from: Elgarian Redux on November 26, 2025, 01:15:00 PMThere's something I would like to say to you. I hope you're well, and have had a good day.
And three cheers for Elgar.

Thanks! Wishing you the same and three cheers for Elgar, of course!  :)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

About 4200 of them are bots, I assume...  ???

Again, an enormous amount of BOTS, don't they have better things to do as to spam GMG. But the server on which Rob drives GMG is also to blame. I get constant warnings from Google that this site is not on good server, and wants to blacklist it.

So the newest bug seems to be... for instance, @Que writes 1 review, I get 6 emails about this post
And that goes for all postings, well at least this bug is a funny one 8)

Great!!  ;D

;)

Not to be alarmist but I saw a lot of new accounts coming from Russia, or from the part that is occupied in the Ukraine by Russians. I got some info about their offensive on the Net, and GMG is on the list to be spammed by Bots and what not. Just look in the upcoming Birthday list.

I reopened my account, and once my problem is resolved, I will explain further, but aside from this thread, I get this message every time I try to post:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

EDIT: Everything seems OK, now. Weird!

This error seems to be triggered by punctuation in a post/reply somehow triggering the forum's built-in spam filter. There's no rationale to it. Replies #311-314 (on the previous page here) include some examples of how a comma or space caused the error.

P.S. Welcome back by the way.

Thank you. I just made a post and got that message. I'll check my punctuation.

I get this one all the time. It causes my comment to go away. Then I just get mad, close my browser, and stay away from the site.  :'(

Congratulate me, I've just hit my first "forbidden" problem with making a post. Apparently I hit a parentheses problem.

I made a different post with parentheses on a different thread, shortly afterwards, with zero issue. It really does seem to depend on the exact combination of punctuation which is a little maddening.

I faced the dreaded "Forbidden" message with my last post in the "Purchases Today" thread. Eliminated all commas following brackets, then all brackets, and so on, and it kept being rejected. In the end, I deleted the whole first paragraph, and finally could post. Then reinserted the deleted paragraph via an edit, and no problem. Bizarre...

That suggests a workaround.
If you get the Forbidden message, use the Cut function to delete all but a few words, then post the truncated version, then immediately hit the edit button, re-insert the text you cut, and hit the save button.

If it works it will save the time/effort of guessing what combination of characters the server is allergic to that day.

This is verging on brilliance! I stand in awe. I shall try this!

My attempt at editing hit the same problem again. Who knows why.
