The internet is fucked.

I see youth watching their smartphones all the time. Having fun or staring.

I see people walking their dogs being depressed.

Is there still joy without the internet? Even communities that come together only to post stuff on the internet?

And we?

It seems to me that dogs aren't particularly prone to depression. Or at least, not all of them.

There is always joy, with or without the Internet for those with a talent for it. I suppose one question is: Do we use the Internet, or do we let the Internet use us?

The internet isn't good or bad; it is what you make of it, as with most things.

Also, without the internet I wouldn't have come to know things about myself (example: my sexuality).

Joy is our innate quality; it requires no talents.

If that were so, everyone would be joyful. Is that your experience? It's not mine.

Yes. Joy is our natural state. It lasts until the mind's carousel starts spinning, stirring up the dust that clouds everything, not just joy. Yet anyone can step off the carousel if they truly want to. Want is key. Without it, nothing changes. We receive what we want: joy or sorrow—it is up to us, even if in the end it comes to the same thing.

I experience the internet sometimes as spooky. That's not because my use of it, the whole architecture of the internet is probably grown wrong. That's what different authors claim.

The internet tends to tailor itself to you - unless you do specific things to make that not so. Example: I used to think Instagram was a crap site, but that is because I was acting against my own interests when using the site, when I began using the site in a manner that was more conductive - all of a sudden the site has become one of my better experiences (the amount of music, the amount of comics that I have come across that I love - even backed a Kickstarter because of Instagram).

It is just like any other part of life - it is what you make of it.

I think it's spooky, not always but sometimes. Unexpectedly, out of a sudden.
Consider also the amount of bugs on this forum.

Bugs, glitches, and the like - is simply the cost of using the internet. Nearly every multimodal page suffers from that, for a variety of reasons, but that doesn't disrupt what I'm getting from the internet.

Probably my mental condition doesn't help. Out of a sudden spookiness that makes me very upset.
As I mentioned this morning too spookiness outside. It can be the thoughts I have, it can be chance.
And just after the spookiness lightning (very close) and thunder and now the neighbour's dog is anxiously barking even now the lightning and thunder is over for a while.

I've had to modify how I interact with parts of the internet due to the way my mind works (for example, I have to restrict my use of generative ai because if I use it too long I begin to find it difficult to separate the virtual from reality) - essentially, I just have increased the character quality of temperance, and that has made a drastic change. :)

It's very annoying rather. It does disrupt me.

Sounds funny. Not sure what you mean. Reassuring though. 😀

But probably my mind is the problem. Osho signals that too, the mind can be under remote control. I think that's the case.

I think you depend too much on the thought of others, and not enough on yourself (at least what I've seen on this forum).

I'm worried about a girl on Instagram. Just a few innocent actions I did while I'm struggling these days with this guy Sloterdijk, a philosopher who I hate. I got upset.

I have had a lot of interaction with this girl in the past years very intensive. This girl likes to take risks moreover.

Now this guy Sloterdijk says: 'One must save the climate, but 'bitte nicht turn männer into accesoires'.

While that is what the play was all about. Why can't it be like that. It's a lot of fun. And it's also not exactly the case.
